Supported collateral
Every token Based Loans accepts as collateral, and how each type works.
Based Loans accepts over 100 tokens as collateral, from majors like WETH and cbBTC to memecoins, partner tokens, tokenized stocks and escrowed or staked tokens. Every token uses the same 50% loan-to-value ratio, meaning you borrow USDC equal to half the current value of whatever you deposit.

How collateral works on Based Loans
✔ Flat 50% LTV across all tokens
Every supported token uses the same loan-to-value ratio. Deposit $1,000 worth of any listed token and borrow $500 USDC. There is no tiered system, no negotiation, and no discount for majors. The 50% ratio creates the same buffer for lenders regardless of which token is posted as collateral.
✔ Lenders choose which tokens they back
Just because a token is listed does not mean every lender accepts it. Each lender configures which tokens they are willing to back and sets a USDC cap per token. If you hold a less common token, your loan will be matched to lenders who have opted into that token specifically.
✔ New tokens are added over time
The list started with 25 tokens at launch and keeps growing. Tokens that meet the listing criteria, including verified contracts, sufficient trading activity and reliable pricing, can be added. See Get your token listed for the full criteria.
Based Loans is built for the full spectrum of the Base ecosystem. Whether you hold a major token or a memecoin, if it is on the list, you can borrow against it without selling it.
